SUMMARY:Online Pool Operator Class
DESCRIPTION:ATCS is excited to be teaching your pool operator class online. We have had success with the online version of the course\, but please be patient as technology and internet connections can be frustrating to navigate at times. Please make sure that you have a strong internet connection\, there is nothing streaming on your connection while participating the training\, and that you are fully focused on the material. \nHere are the instructions that we suggest you follow: \n\nPrint your handbook prior to the beginning of class by accessing a pdf of your manual or visiting the online resource page. The online resource page contains valuable information in addition to the handbook.\nPre-register for the webinar through the following web address that is sent to you via email.   Please add the class to your calendar.  THE LINK TO GOTOWEBINAR WILL BE SENT TO YOUR EMAIL TWO DAYS PRIOR TO THE CLASS.\nWhen preregistering\, it will ask you for your physical mailing address. Please use the address to where you would like your certificate sent. I will email a scanned copy of the original certificate the day following the class\, but please realize that some health departments require an original certificate.\nAfter preregistering\, you will be emailed a link to connect to the training. You may also be asked to download the GoToWebinar software or app on your device. Please do this prior to class.\nPlease be on time for class and plan that it may take a few minutes to get logged in! The class for new pool operators will be from 8 am to 3 pm on weekdays and 9-4 on weekends. Class times are in game Eastern Time Zone.\nThe test will be given online (100 questions for new operators) with a 2-hour time limit. Directions to access the test will be given during class.\nIf you need to get in touch with the instructor\, you can text him at 240-529-5774.\n\nUpon successful completion of the exam\, students will receive a certificate via regular mail. For Maryland and DC operators\, you will take this to your local health department to get your card. Virginia operators will keep their certificates with them at the pool and will not visit the health department. \nThanks for trusting Aquatic Training & Consulting Service with your training. I will talk to you soon. \nDescription: \nYou will be sent a link to the virtual training two days prior to class.

SUMMARY:Blended Learning Lifeguard Class
DESCRIPTION:Dear Lifeguarding Course Participant: \nWe are excited to offer you American Red Cross Lifeguarding Blended Learning. Blended learning combines online learning with in-person skills sessions where you will practice skills and demonstrate competency. Please plan to complete all eLearning modules\, including the CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid final eLearning exam\, at least a day prior to your first in-person skills session. Most participants complete the eLearning portion of the course in approximately 7 hours. Your experience may vary widely based on several factors\, including your PC\, internet speed\, and previous training. I recommend beginning the online session as soon as possible to ensure that you are able to complete all eLearning modules prior to the first in-person skill session. \nWe anticipate conducting the in-class coursework and water skill sessions over two days from 8-6 on Saturday and Sunday at Hood College Swimming Pool. Please plan on getting in the water each day and students must attend both days! You must complete the online portion prior to class! You should bring lunch with you as we will be working through lunch in order to get you out as quickly as possible. You will need to bring face-covering with you. You will not wear face-covering in the water. \nYou can access the lifeguard training manual using the following link: \nhttps://www.redcross.org/content/dam/redcross/training-services/no-index/LG_PM_digital.pdf \n(if this link does not work go to https://www.redcross.org/take-a-class/participant-materials) \nYou will access the e-learning component through the email that will be sent 2 weeks prior to class.  When you receive your email you will access the online training portion by creating a log in by using your email address and password\, click “Launch Course” to begin. \nPlease be prepared to provide proof that you completed the eLearning content using one of the following methods. \n\nPrint or take a screen shot of your online course completion record available at the conclusion of the eLearning course and bring it to the first in-person skill session. It will read “Proceed to Skill Session”.\nBe prepared to login to the eLearning course on the first in-person skill session to display the completion status that appears above the “Launch Course” button.\n\nIf you have questions\, please contact me directly at 240-529-5774. \nSincerely\,\nRob Fox\nAmerican Red Cross Instructor\nAquatic Training & Consulting Service
